Technical Note: A few Lectric owners have experimented using motorcycle tubes and tires on their 20" tire model bikes. The tubes are heavier and probably more similar to a thorn proof bicycle tube. Motorcycles use a different tire and tube measuring system than bikes. You would find their tube offerings that fit our bikes are 16" x 3.0" or 3.5". The tires which fit are usually scooter tires that are 2.5 to 3 times heavier. Either of these options will impact your bike's performance.

If you are having dropout clearance problems it can make removal and re-installation of the rear wheel a real bear. This do-it-yourself tool in the video allows you to have a portable frame spreader to open up the frame so the rear wheel can be easily removed and reinstalled.
